UnitsAndTraining

You can see how many of what unit type you have in the Command Center, Next to Military Overview, bellow Military Power. There are 4 major types of units:

Peasant

Peasants

  • You receive new peasants at certain intervals based on your Unit Production level.
  • Peasants generate the highest amount of gold (7 GPT) for you, but they add nothing to your Military Power.
  • Peasants are killed when someone uses Pillage on you.

Military Units

These are your military force - your Warriors:

  • Warriors add to your Military Power, but generate less gold for you then Peasants (4 GPT). Untrained warriors without weapon add 4.4 strength points and trained add 8 strength points. This value is multiplied with the weapon strength they hold.
  • Warrior Types:
    • Untrained WarriorUntrained Warriors - These Warrior add to both Strike and Defensive Actions. They gain a 10% bonus (factor 1.1) to any weapon they hold or armor they wear. When Attacking they each carry a Weapon, When defending they each wear an Armor.
    • Attack WarriorAttack Warriors - These Warriors add only to Strike Action, but they add much more than Untrained Warriors. When attacking they are equipped with Weapons before all other units and they have a 200% bonus (factor 2) to it's strength.
    • Defense WarriorDefense Warriors - These Warriors add only to Defensive Action, but they add much more than Untrained Warriors. When Defending they are equipped with Armors before all other units and they have a 200% bonus (factor 2) to it's strength.
  • Under the 'Training' screen, to the right end you can see "Military Training" Options (Some may not be available at all times):
    • Train Attack/Defensive Warrior (2000G) - Turn one Untrained Warrior into either Attack or Defensive Warrior.
    • Conscript Peasant as Untrained Warrior (400G) - Turn one Peasant in to Untrained Warrior.
  • You can Also Demote/Untrain units. There is no refund of costs, though:
    • Demote Attack/Defensive Warrior (free) - Turn one Attack/Defensive Warrior into Untrained Warrior.
    • Untrained into Peasant (free) - Turn one Untrained Warrior into Peasant.

Covert Units

These are your Intelligence - your covert operatives.

  • Covert units add 2^level strength points to your Covert Ratings, but generate less gold for you then Peasants or warriors(3 GPT).
  • Covert Unit Types:
  • Under the 'Training' screen, to the right end you can see "Intelligence Training" Options (Some may not be available at all times):
    • Train Ninja/Shinobi (3500G) - Turn one Peasant into either Ninja or Shinobi.
    • Note: You can not Untrain/Demote Covert Units.

Mercenaries

  • Mercenaries do not generate any gold for you. However they die first in combat, so you keep as many gold generating units as you can.
  • You may only have as many mercenaries as a third of your total trained and untrained warriors.
  • Untrained mercenaries without weapon add 4 strength points, trained attack mercenaries add 6.2 strength points and trained defense mercenaries add 6.64 strength points. This value is multiplied with the weapon strength they hold.
  • Untrained Mercenaries are equipped after the Warriors and the Trained Mercs
  • Mercenaries Types:
    • Untrained MercenaryUntrained Mercenaries - These Mercenaries add to both Strike and Defensive Actions. They gain no bonus to weapons they hold or armors they wear. When Attacking they each carry a Weapon, When defending they each wear an Armor. They are assigned Weapons and Armors last of all units.
    • Attack MercenaryAttack Specialist - These Mercenaries add only to Strike Action, but they add much more then Untrained Mercenaries(who have no bonus at all). When attacking they are equipped with Weapons before Untrained units, but after Attack Warriors and they have a 155% bonus (factor 1.55) to it's strength.
    • Defense MercenaryDefense Specialist - These Mercenaries add only to Defensive Action, but they add much more then Untrained Mercenaries(who have no bonus at all) . When Defending they are equipped with Armors before Untrained units, but after Defensive Warriors and they have a 166% (factor 1.66) bonus to it's strength.
  • Under the 'Training' screen, to the right end you can see "Mercenaries" Options (Some may not be available at all times):
    • Hire Attack/Defense Specialist (4500G) - Hire an Attack/Defense Specialist to join your army.
    • Hire Untrained Merc (3500G) - Hire an Untrained Mercenary to join your army.

Note: Mercenaries are Hired, not trained, so it wont cost a peasant when you hire one, but remember, they don't generate gold.
