Hey guys. I'm back on the dev train for SW Season V!! Sorry for the hiatus, it has been a busy world over here. I'm glad to see all of you still around. We've got some great ideas brewing for the coming season that I hope you all will enjoy. Stay tuned for more announcements about what's to come. In the mean time, be sure to keep sharp on the battlefield for the final days of Season IV. Best of luck to you all!

You can't make an egg without breaking a few omelettes

Hello again! I'm glad to see all the new players we have these days. Every time I see how much our little game has grown, it makes me want to bring a tear to my eye. But then I remember that I'm a man, and that's not a compliant function. Anywho... its great to be back on the old Shogun Wars development team.

And of course, what would my development contributions be without those little mishaps that threaten the way everyone feels about the game. I would like to say that I'm extremely sorry for the little mishap I had concerning the iron ingots. If you don't know what I'm talking about, then don't worry... continue reading as though nothing has happened. It was quickly noticed and fixed by me and Susanoo, and things are working perfectly... for now. We'll so how long our new stuff evades the dark wits of Hogg.

I'm just finishing up a few more details for this age, and then we'll be ready to move right on to Age III development. I hope you all are ready for it... I know I'm not. There will be lots of cool new additions, so I hope to see you all there. Stay tuned for more updates as they happen. Sayanara!

Are you sure?

Well.... Recently in the forums I had mentioned the blogging, and whether it should be done more or not. I made that post with the intention of me actually doing more blogging, unfortunately, there's not always development going on in the world of Shogun Wars. Well... there is usually development, but I find that its usually best to talk about things after they've been implemented. Why? I don't know... never really thought about, just seemed like the way things were supposed to be done. Plus, where are you supposed to find the time for this stuff? Shouldn't I be spending more time developing and less time talking about developing? According to my sources... no. So without further ado, or wait, I give you, I development notice.

You will now have to confirm doing an upgrade.

...is that it?

Nope. You also get an option in your edit account preferences page where you can choose to bypass that confirm. If you like the new addition, send your compliments to Kirbside, he was the one to suggest it. If you don't like it, just turn it off. Its a win-win situation.

So what did you think? Was this blog worth the week's wait? I sure hope so. I know it was for me. Maybe I should go outside the boundaries of "development" and start just doing little segments about my latest delve into Japanese society and culture or something. Just don't tell any other admins I'm blogging about something non-development related though. Deal?

Wikipedia

Greetings fellow feudal friends. Guess what! Shogun Wars is back on Wikipedia. We noticed recently that someone besides us had added it up there and did a fairly good job (though I had a hard time getting there because of the capitalization). So, I added some redirects, changed the caps, and let it loose. This is our second attempt at successfully holding a Wikipedia entry. Hopefully this time will make it. Last time, we got penalized for only being 3 weeks old, being in beta, having only about 100 members, and overall just being unworthy of the almighty source of knowledge. Anywho, its there now, you should check it out, feed some traffic into it, maybe add a few little sections to it here and there... make them know that we are really worth it now. If any trouble starts to happen again, I expect to see all of you rise together to battle it, and make sure our article stays there... your gold depends on it! :P

I am tired of having an ancient attack log against Tobionitaru as the last blog entry, so I felt the need to say something here to my peeps.

The new age banner was not given a different name from the first age banner- due to this, many of you are still seeing the original banner from age one. Potential solutions coming soon. (Solutions for old honor marks coming soon as well.)

The new alliance system is moving along and should be implemented before age four... lol.

WELCOME TO AGE 2! I''m very glad to see over 800 members already, and most of the people from age 1 returned.

  • Welcome, Shogun Warriors!

Well... I have paid for my subscription to Shogun Wars, and while it is cool, I definetly plan on making it even better. This is the time where we see how dedicated our members are. All I can say is, the more people that subscribe the more work we get to put into it, and that makes everyone's lives better!

On a side note, I had a great Halloween dinner the other night with members of the clan such as Kurenai, Ichigo, and Griffithe. There's even a picture of all of us that I may post(pending all of their approvals of course). But in the meantime, here's your glimpse of what it was like. In honor of Shogun Wars, I proudly present you with... Xaudius... the ninja.
